Quickly rename files from Finder

You can put Renamer4Mac on your Finder toolbar and so batch rename files more quickly. This tutorial will show you how.

Step 1. Open Finder

1. Open a Finder window and click Applications on the Sidebar. Make sure you can see the Renamer4Mac icon.

2. Open a second Finder window by choosing File > New Finder Window...

Step 2: Drag Renamer4Mac onto your toolbar

1. In the second Finder window choose View > Customize Toolbar...

2. Drag the Renamer4Mac icon from the Applications windows on the toolbar in the second window

Step 3: Drag files to rename onto the Renamer4Mac toolbar icon


To rename files, drag in the files onto the Renamer4Mac toolbar icon:

Renamer4Mac will then launch with the dragged files loaded into the main window where you can rename as usual:
