Open RAR files
RAR is a file compression format commonly used on the Internet. RAR archives have file extensions .rar, .r01, .r02, ... and so on. The steps below will show you how to open RAR files on your Mac.
1. Launch Rucksack
Download Rucksack if you haven't already done so and launch it.

Click Extract and sit back while Rucksack opens the RAR archive.

2. Drag in RAR file
Drag in the RAR archive you would like to open onto Rucksack
